Kolhapur Airport is situated in Ujalaiwadi, 9 km south-east from Kolhapur city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Air services began in Kolhapur in January 1939, by Air Services of India, which is a private airline of Juhu Aerodrome. The service was inaugurated by the Maharaja of Kolhapur, Sri. Rajaram Maharaj. The present airport started serving the city of Kolhapur in 1987 and is currently operated by the Airports Authority of India.
