Owned by the Indian Air Force, the Jamnagar Airport is officially called as Civil Enclave Jamnagar and is located 10 kilometers from Jamnagar City, Gujarat. Both commercial and private flights are operated from the airport’s civil enclaves. It is the only airport in Gujarat which has 2 runways and was awarded the ‘Best Flying Station’ in 2006. As per a survey by Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board, the passenger traffic increased by 15% from 2003 to 2008. The airport handled 96,000 travelers according to a statistics report between April 2007 and March 2008.
Bhid Bhanjan Temple, Bala Hanuman Temple, and Jain Temples are visited by both domestic and international tourists in large numbers. Darbargadh Palace and Bhujiyo Kotho offers an excellent example of ancient architecture. Marine National Park, Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary, Sivrajpur Beach, and Pratap Vilas Palace are other must-see attractions. Lakhota Palace and Ranmal Lake are famous for their enthralling beauty.
