The Rajahmundry Airport is located in Madhurapudi at a distance of 18 km from Rajahmundry. It is spread over 366 acres of land and has been operating since the British era. It was renovated and the new terminal began its operations on 16th May 2012. The airport was served by Vayudoot between 1985 and 1994 while VIF Airways operated from the airport in 1995.
The Rajahmundry Airport has one domestic terminal with 3 boarding gates, and 6 check-in and security counters. It has the capacity to handle 150 passengers during peak hours with 75 arrivals and departures each.
